Time for an after-school treat: kids helped me make cookies of Hershey’s kisses wrapped in mini-choc chip shortbread. YUM! Didn’t think I needed a microplane zester (a Chef’s knife does ALL, right?), but it saves a step & thus saves time. I LOVE it! Attempting to recreate a favorite dessert from Firehook Bakery where I worked in DC: Tart au Citron (lemon tart) @FoodieTot Ooooh…I was there too! HB made me go cause he worked for House of Reps. Sure wish I could be at THIS one! Watching historic inauguration in dr’s waiting room…..crowd is screaming like Obama is a rock star. So exciting!! Trying to combat the Winter blahs by baking (of course!). Mississippi mud cake & white choc macadamia cookies. Stuck at home in sub-zero temps. With plenty of time to be lazy, I granted my son’s request for French toast for breakfast. 🙂 Just redeemed coupon for free coffee & bagel I got for giving blood.
