I need to troubleshoot my own baking problem and blog about it, but I’m so busy volunteering this week I don’t have time!! Taking my mom out to dinner for Mother’s Day….since she always treats me every other time we visit! http://tinyurl.com/3epknj "Nobody makes cookies like Grandma!" Is a refrain from a favorite kids’ book: "The Doorbell Rang." It’s true: I learned to bake from my mom! Brought my family to my mom’s house for Mother’s Day. She made chocolate chunk, white chocolate & pecan cookies–delicious! Today is a rainy, dreary day–the type where I crave my comfort food: Hard Times chili from D.C. Love the vegetarian Cinncinati style! Made a really tasty dinner: Lemon-Parmesan risotto with salmon & spinach, and roasted sweet potatoes & apples in orange-cinnamon glaze. mmm Another successful picnic, and once again, I got many requests for my recipes: iced pumpkin cookies & Mexican layered salad. Mmmmm! Visiting family in Ytown. Watched "Top Chef" for the first time. Interesting concept, but I hate reality shows where someone gets voted off. Chocolate peanut butter brownie ice cream at Handel’s in Y-town….Yummy! And 80’s songs on the radio-perfect! |
